The Hon James White originally from ‘Belltrees’, Scone had a vested interest in the outcome as the owner/breeder of ‘Abercorn’. He was perhaps the most dominant of the early thoroughbred owners and breeders to emerge from the Hunter Valley. He certainly achieved legendary status as a leviathan major player.
