The featured image highlights some of the historically favoured and proven horse breeding areas in the Upper Hunter Valley.
The top vista is a panorama of the Segenhoe Valley looking beyond Segenhoe Stud to the country on the other side of the Pages River towards the distant buildings of Kia Ora Stud. This was during the ‘golden Percy Miller/Bert Riddle era’ of the latter with champion stallions such as Magpie, Midstream and Delville Wood.
The bottom image is of the justifiably famous nursery at Woodlands Stud on the Hunter River downstream from Denman.
