I’ve just received my March/April 2023 hard copy of the Australian Stockhorse – “The breed for every need”. It’s another ‘pearl’; and full of surprises. I never knew that Gina Lollobrigida made a cameo appearance at a charity event @ Wangaratta, Vic., in March 1975? (See following ‘Blog’). Included among the pictorial credits on the same page are ASHS luminaries and legends Theo Hill & ‘Abdul’, Philip Frame (Inverell), Barry Law (Swan Vale) and David Archibald (’Nabinabah’, Gundy). “Nabinabah Cool Gun” is the featured Stock Horse which topped the annual Nabinabah Sale held on the property on Saturday 5th March 1975. He was a full brother to all-time champion Camp Drafter “Nabinabah Breezette” with Bobby Palmer in the saddle. It’s a well-worn hoary old cliché but a truism nonetheless: “You miss more by not looking than not knowing”.
