Jerrys Plains Jockey Club Saturday 25th August 1945
Scone owned and trained horses had a field day at the Jerrys Plains fixture on Saturday, winning no fewer than four of the five races on the bill of fare, and filling three minor placings. ‘Matrona’ was a dual winner in brilliant style; ‘Swift Lady’ having her first outing since a spell, carried off the main vent easily.
L C Duncombe, also of Scone rode a treble and veteran horseman Stan Davidson (Gundy) had the remaining two winning rides.
