Poitrel (3). Chestnut Horse, 1914, by St Alwyne (imp.) – Poinard. Winner of the Melbourne Cup carrying 10st., and all the principal long distance weight-for-age races of Australia and £26,919. A very high class stayer. Retired to his owner’s (Messrs W & F A Moses) stud in 1921.
