‘The Buzzard’ was bred by Lord Rosebery and originally named ‘The Bastard’! His name was changed when he came to Australia to stand at Lyndhurst Stud, Warwick, Queensland.
The Buzzard was a bay horse by Spion Kop out of Valescure by Swynford. He won many races for Lord Rosebery including the Yorkshire Cup. He was a very good sire of stayers and in all his progeny won over 500,000 pounds in Australia.
